Welcome to the Hessle Federation of Schools website. We hope you find it interesting and useful. The Hessle Federation comprises Penshurst Primary School and Hessle High School and Sixth Form College.

The partnership between the two schools aims to deliver continuous outstanding education for the children and families within the Hessle community and surrounding locality. Spread across three sites the Hessle Federation puts itself at the heart of the community, providing adult and family learning, support and facilities for the entire community, in addition to the school day.

Penshurst Primary Pupils Through to Final of St Johns First Aid Competition

A team of Year 5 pupils from Penshurst Primary School are celebrating getting through to the final stages of the St John Ambulance National Schools First Aid Competition. In total 12 teams took part in the junior elimination round at Priory House in Hull on the 29th March.

Hessle High Students Defend Their Championship in Inter-school Maths Competition

Four Year 7 students from Hessle High have defended their championship and beaten off strong opposition to win this year’s 'You Can Work It Out' secondary inter-school maths competition run by the University of Hull. Winning for the second year running, the team were awarded a glass trophy which will take pride of place in the school’s trophy cabinet.

Food, Food, Glorious Food

The Hessle Federation’s new school meal service is being hailed a success, having received an overwhelming positive response from students. Hessle’s Sixth Form students are also being treated to additional culinary delights, with their very own Costa Coffee shop opening in the dedicated Sixth Form Centre.
